While you may hope to go back to work in a few months, the insurance company is viewing the long term and concerning itself with getting stuck paying benefits they want to avoid paying. Even if there is a successful return to work, that will take the counseling of an attorney to make sure it is handled in a fashion that covers all the possibilities, including the effort being unsuccessful. This would necessitate a successive claim, usually within six (6) months of the original claim, or potentially, a new claim with pre-existing conditions issues.
