The uncertainty of the present times is the cause of great consternation to many of us. We are endeavoring to ensure that each case continues to move along apace. There are some unavoidable delays and some long term disability insurance companies which are using COVID-19 as a reason for further delaying handling of claims. We are reasonable in our approach to such matters but will not allow any unnecessary delays.
We are fortunate in that we are wholly paperless and therefore able to continue our work remotely. There are times when face to face meetings are set up. Our office has been modified to allow healthy, social-distanced meetings. We can also communicate by zoom, if necessary.
The societal changes which may result from our shared experience with this pandemic will be interesting and, perhaps, of some value. Nonetheless, the suffering being suffered by many is heart-wrenching. I personally realize there is only a little I can do as far as the medical situation is concerned and I am, faithfully, doing that. I think ever since I was a child, I wanted to wear a kerchief like a cowboy!
The positive thing we can all do is to take a few minutes each day to check in our loved ones and friends. This is especially so for those who are alone and are, essentially, in quarantine. Let’s all extend ourselves and get through this stronger than ever!
